More than forty restaurants and vendors took part in the seventh annual Taste of Stones River held on Saturday, August 24 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Belk parking lot of The Avenue Murfreesboro.   The event raised $52,178 for the Primary Care & Hope Clinic.  The evening included live entertainment, a kid’s fun zone with inflatables and games, and over 100 delicious food and drink samples.

Event attendees sampled the wide variety of culinary creations and cast their votes for top honors in categories including: ‘Best Entrée’, Best Dessert’, ‘Best Beverage’, ‘Best Booth’ and ‘Best Kids Zone Activity’.  Total votes among new restaurants and vendors decided the ‘Best Newcomer’  category.  A new category was added this year for “Best Beer”.
