A Readyville man hired to install tile at a home in Murfreesboro never followed through with the installation, according to a police incident report. The suspect is also accused using the victim’s credit card to run up a bill at Home Depot. The report that WGNS obtained shows that $2,000 in tile was purchased along with counter tops.

The victim told officers that he has called the installer numerous times and in conversation, the subject allegedly threatens to never complete the job if he is not paid more money. The victim says he will prosecute.

No arrest has been made and at this point, no warrant has been filed. WGNS will release the suspects name if and when he is arrested.

The Better Business Bureau in Rutherford County has previously warned radio listeners to NOT pay for construction work until the job is complete. They also suggest that homeowners should visit BBB.org before hiring a contractor.
