Radio lost a good friend and fellow broadcaster over the weekend. Rusty Reed, 47, owner of WLIJ-AM and WZNG-AM in Shelbyville, collapsed and died Saturday while on a fishing trip in Destin, Florida.

A candlelight vigil for Reed will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday night at Hulan Field in H.V. Griffin Park in Shelbyville.

Reed's station WLIJ is a member of Friday Night Thunder show produced by WMSR in Manchester.
