In neighboring Cannon County, authorities have confirmed classes will be canceled Friday. This after a brief lockdown on Thursday.

The Cannon County Sheriff's Office was investigating a threat at Cannon County High School made by a juvenile. Thursday morning, several juveniles were interviewed by authorities and the one who made the threats was taken into custody.

There were no weapons found and the high school was taken off lockdown Thursday. The planned closure Friday is to allow authorities to complete their investigation.
