Two separate reports of counterfeit money being used have been reported at South Church Street businesses. It's not known if these cases are related, but the discovery of the fake bills was reported to Murfreesboro Police within four-hours of each other.

The first was at the Mapco Express, located at 2430 South Church. A clerk reported a white female tried to use counterfeit money for a purchase. After being refused when asking for the bill back, the suspect left the store and police were called.

At the Sonic, located at 2630 South Church, an employee was cashing out when a fake 20-dollar bill was noticed. The employee couldn't recall anything about the order, what type of vehicle they were driving or anything to help authorities identify the suspect.
