Incumbent Heather Dawbarn defeated two challengers for the GOP nomination for Register of Deeds. She received 45.2% of the vote to Steve Sandlin's 35%. Sandlin, who is only 48, has spent half of his life in public service. He says he looks forward to spending more time with his wife and two children once his term is up in August.
