Rutherford County sheriff's detectives are investigating the undetermined death of a man whose body was found Saturday on the side of U.S. Highway 41 South (Manchester Highway), said Sheriff Robert Arnold.

The 65-year-old man is a Rutherford County resident but his name is not being released until next-of-kin is notified.

His body was found about 6:30 p.m. on the side of Manchester Highway near Cedar Grove Road.

"Any motorists who might have seen something unusual near the site or has information about the man's death are asked to call Detective Steve Craig, the lead detective," Sheriff Arnold said.
