A two vehicle crash claims a life on West Jefferson Pike, between Murfreesboro and Smyrna.

It happened early Thursday morning not far from Mona Road and just down from Wilson Elementary School.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol says there were three people involved in the wreck and one fatality.

Rutherford County Fire and Rescue, on social media, said multiple law enforcement personnel were on the scene, including Vanderbilt's Lifeflight.
