A focus on Middle Tennessee State University.

Segment #1: Department of English Chair Dr. Steve Severn tells about the school's WRITERS CORPS, LAVINIA PROJECT, and the WESTERN MOVIES SERIES at Nashville's Belcourt Theatre.

Segment #2: Department of Geosciences Lecturer Alan Brown tells about THE EARTH EXPERIENCE MUSEUM, which he and the late Lewis Frank Elrod created. The museum is at 816 Old Salem Road in Murfreesboro and features petrified wood, meteorites, seashells, dinosaurs and more. Admission is $12 for ages 12+, $3 for ages 4-11, and free for those under age 4. It is open Thursday through Saturday from 11AM-4PM. The Museum is hosting a fundraiser from 2-6PM on Sunday, Oct. 21, 2018. It is the NATURALE BEERFEST, and features local craft brewers. Tickets $30 in advance or $35 at the door. Segment #3: The world moves on sales. Department of Marketing Instructor Laura Buckner tells about the sales training offered in the Jones College of Business. They have a sales lab to teach marketing skills to students. In addition, the marketing department also goes to area businesses to assist in training staffs to be more successful in sales.
