Ketron Wins County Mayor Republican Primary

A three way race for the Republican nomination for Rutherford County Mayor was won by Bill Ketron.

He received 6,885 votes to Randy Allen's 4,655 votes. Former county commissioner Tina Jones came in third with 3,279 votes.

The former state senator and county commissioner says his unsuccessful runs in the 1990's for the office followed by his 16-years in Nashville have prepared him for this run:

Ketron says the work will now begin on winning the general election in August:

Ketron will face independent candidate Heather Ann Brown in the August county general election.
