A local church is celebrating their 200th anniversary on Sunday (April 15 ,2018).

Bethel United Methodist Church at 4286 Sulphur Springs Road, will hold worship at 10 am with Bishop Bill McAlilly. A meal will follow.

The small church with a congregation of about 100 started in 1818 and was officially established in 1827.

Also this Saturday (April 14) at 5, the church will celebrate with a meal and a bluegrass band.
