Another murder was reported in Murfreesboro on Tuesday (5/23/17) night around 7:30 PM. The shooting location is not known, but the body of the victim was dumped out of a car at University Ridge Apartments at 2707 South Rutherford Blvd.

When officers arrived, they discovered that the victim had been shot and was already deceased.

Witnesses stated that the victim had been thrown out of a vehicle. Officers quickly located the suspect car at the nearby Rogers Park. Witnesses there stated that three individuals exited the suspect car and entered another vehicle (possibly a gold Toyota Camry).

It is unknown at this time where the victim was killed.

This marks the third murder in the Murfreesboro City Limits this year (2017).

Violent Crime Unit Detectives are investigating.
