The next time you need to make an overnight run to Walmart, you may find the store closed as several locations are no longer open 24-hours a day.

Several years ago, the retailer decided to shut some stores down overnight as a way to optimize store labor.

Starting June 2nd, local Walmart locations in Murfreesboro - with one exception - are closing at 1am and reopening at 6am. The exception is the Old Fort Parkway location, which remains open 24-hours.

Several locations across the country have moved away from 24-hour operation.
