Oakland Beats Riverdale 43-14

Despite two first quarter turnovers and several penalties in the game, Oakland bested rival Riverdale 43-14 in the 49th Battle of the 'Boro. It's the sixth win in a row for the Patriots, the longest win streak for them in the history of the series.

A muffed punt by Oakland gave Riverdale a short field, leading to this run by Savion Davis to give the Warriors a 7-0 lead...

Oakland would go on to score 40 unanswered points enroute to the win. Patriots running back Jeron Rooks had 12 carries for 141 yards and three touchdowns in the game. He also had 116-yards on five catches. This touchdown put the Patriots up 33-7...

Oakland emassed 496 yards of total offense. Quarterback Brevin Linnell was 5-of-9 for 96 yards passing. Quarterback Timmy Goodrich had eight carries for 76-yards and was 3-for-4 for 45-yards passing.

Riverdale's Davis ran for 46-yards on 12 carries while sophomore quarterback Taylor Yancy was 8-of-15 for 110-yards, one touchdown and one interception. They had 189 yards in total offense, 77 rushing, 110 passing.

Next week, it's another battle of undefeated teams as Oakland travels to Blackman. Riverdale is at Centennial.
