Tremendous Candlelight Tour of Homes

Dec 03, 2016 at 08:00 pm by Bryan Barrett

Despite a steady drizzle and temps in the low 40s, hundreds turned out to explore historic homes Saturday evening (4-8PM, 12/3/2016) at the 33rd Annual Oaklands Christmas Candlelight Tour of Homes.

James Manning, executive director of Oaklands Association, said, "The Tour of Homes has been an annual community tradition for thirty-three years. The public noted that much needed rain could not dampen the Spirit of the Season".

As persons strolled from home to home, they enjoyed melodies from carolers as well as chamber string sections. There was even a living nativity on the lawn of Oaklands Baptist Church. It was sponsored by Southeast Baptist, that has the Bethlehem Marketplace next Saturday and Sunday (December 10 and 11, 2016).
