Parade Coordinator Lee Ann Walker said, "There were some of the most amazing floats this year that depicted the past, present and future of our community. Stones River Battlefield's entry received the Mayor's Cup. It had two women who were making a quilt to keep the soldier's warm."

Murfreesboro City School's entry celebrated all of the cultures represented in the system. In addition, people dressed in their native costumes danced around the buses. This showed the "Spirit of the Community".

The theme PEACE ON EARTH was displayed passionately in County Court Clerk Lisa Duke Crowell's float with angel's wings.

This is the 34th year that WGNS Radio has coordinated the parade. We especially thank our working sponsors: ATMOS Energy creates the Santa Claus float, the Stones River Amateur Radio Club is in charge of communications during line-up of the entries as well as throughout the parade, the Murfreesboro Noon Exchange Club lines-up the entries, Synergy Bank hands out the awards and has two bank representatives carrying a banner before each recipient announcing the category in which they won. And L & K Tropy created the awards.
