Ram's Road Reports Through January 18th!

A break in the weather gives construction crews an opportunity to work, but that may create traffic snarls. City Traffic Engineer Ram Balachandran warns of potential "challenge areas" for today through January 18th.

Joe B Jackson Pkwy Construction Project (I-24 and S Church Street)

Expected Lane Closures:  Monday through Friday: 8:30 am to 4:00 pm:  Storm drain, underground utility, curb and bridge construction work continues on Joe B Jackson Pkwy on the east side (Stevens Bend Subdivision) between County Farm Road and Butler Drive/Elam Road.  The section of Joe B Jackson between County Farm and Stevens Bend Drive will be closed.  Appropriate detours and traffic controls will be in place.  Utility crossing work continues on Joe B Jackson between S Church Street and County Farm Road.  There will be incidental lane closures and traffic interruptions. 

Overall Creek Elementary School Roadway Project (Veterans Pkwy at Mooreland Lane)

Expected Road Closures:  September 3rd 2013 through June 21st 2014:  Mooreland Lane at Veterans Pkwy closed in preparation for the new roadway construction and utility work.  All traffic to and from Veterans Pkwy and Mooreland Lane will be detoured through State Route 96 and Rucker Lane.  Proper traffic controls will be in place.

Veterans Pkwy aka Kimbro Road Widening Project (Barfield Road to Saint Andrews Drive)

Expected Lane Closures:  Monday through Friday:  6:30 am to 4:30 pm:  Utility work continues along Veterans Pkwy.  There will be incidental lane closures and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.

Traffic Signal Upgrade/Modification Project (Greenland Dr at Champion Way)

Expected Lane Closures:  Monday through Friday:  9:30 am to 2:30 pm:  The contractor for MTSU will be installing traffic signal at the intersection of Greenland Dr at Champion Way.  Westbound traffic on Greenland Drive will be shifted south through the intersection.  There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
