Saint Thomas Health Welcomes Beth Van Gilder as COO

Saint Thomas Health is proud to announce Beth Van Gilder has joined the leadership team as Chief Operating Officer of Saint Thomas Medical Partners, effective immediately. As one of the region's largest medical groups with over 550 providers and 39 specialties, covering 32 counties with 99 locations, Saint Thomas Medical Partners is a physician-led medical group in Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky.

As Chief Operating Officer, Van Gilder joins the Saint Thomas Medical Partners senior leadership team to develop short and long-term strategic plans for practice operation, staffing, financial performance, and growth. She will be responsible for managing all hands-on day-to-day leadership and operational aspects of Saint Thomas Medical Partners, as well as ensuring compliance and strategizing organizational growth.

Van Gilder joined Saint Thomas Medical Partners in early 2017 as the Executive Director of Care Delivery Operations, a role dedicated to supporting practice operations in the transition to value-based care. Prior to joining Saint Thomas Medical Partners, Van Gilder was the Vice President of Physician Services for Northwest Health System in Bentonville, Arkansas. She spent several years in revenue cycle management before making the transition to practice operations, working both in the independent physician practice setting and as part of a large health care delivery system.

Van Gilder lives in Thompson's Station with her husband, Schuyler, and their 11-year-old son. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, going to concerts and spending time with friends and family.
