Second Harvest Food Bank Celebrates Grand Opening

Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee celebrated the grand opening of a new distribution center in Smyrna. A ribbon cutting was held last Thursday at the facility's new 36-thousand square foot complex on Almaville Road.

This is the first of two new facilities planned by the organization to help distribute food all across Middle Tennessee. Another location in Camden will open later this year.

Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee (SHFB) is celebrating the grand opening of its new distribution center in Rutherford Co. The new 36,000 sq. ft. food bank in Smyrna will serve 15 southern counties, including 110 Partner Agencies, to reach more people experiencing food insecurity.

This grand opening is one of two new facilities planned to increase capacity and efficiency for food distribution across Middle Tennessee. The second facility in Camden is scheduled to open later this year.

The grand opening is this Thursday at their new Distribution Center in Smyrna (1958 Almaville Road).
