UPDATE: The Smyrna Police Department continues to search for clues on who nearly killed a man at his residence on April 5, 2018.

Authorities say that Christopher Phiouthong was attacked inside his home at 3934 Hendricks Hill Drive in Smyrna. The individual who committed the attack entered the residence by force.

After making entry, the perpetrator threw a powerful liquid chemical on Mr. Phiouthong which caused serious burns to over 51% of his body and permanent blindness.

Today, Mr. Phiouthong remains in critical condition at a local hospital. He has had several surgeries to date and will have numerous more because of the extent of the injuries.
