St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital encouraged individuals with COPD to attend the "BREATHE STRONG RALLY" from 11:00 o'clock Saturday morning (10/15/2016) until 3:00 in the afternoon. This event will be held at the Lane Agri-Park (315 John R. Rice Boulevard, next to PAWS and just down from Sam's).

This local rally empowers individuals living with COPD along with those who suffer other breathing challenges and their caregivers. It also is an opportunity to meet other individuals with common symptoms and experiences and learn about the resources in your community.

COPD is a term used to describe progressive lung diseases such as emphysema, chronic bronchitis and severe asthma that can be managed with proper treatment. There are 30 million Americans living with COPD, and 12 million do not even know they have the disease.
