After being appointed by Governor Haslam to succeed the late Circuit Court Judge Keith Siskin, Barry Tidwell has won election to the seat he's held since November.

Tidwell beat challenger Nathan Nichols in the Republican primary. He thanks voters in Rutherford and Cannon Counties for electing him by a 70-to-30-percent margin:



Tidwell will not face a Democratic challenger in the August county general election.
