3 Arrested and Charged in the Murder of Terry Barber

A total of three people have been captured and are now facing murder charges for the death of Rutherford County resident Terry Barber.

The victim, who refereed and umpired for Murfreesboro sporting events and also sold SEC merchandise, was allegedly bound with some type of rope, assaulted and killed at his Walnut Grove Road home. His body was discovered this past Wednesday.

20-year-old Devan Jacob Gailey, 21-year-old Brent Donavan Ross, and 39-year-old Vernice Darlene Farrar have each been charged with first-degree murder, aggravated kidnapping and especially aggravated robbery.
