American Flags on the Murfreesboro Square Stolen

The Veterans Monument as seen at past Veteran Services

A damaged monument and stolen flags were the summary of the police report filed in Murfreesboro on the local square.

County Facility Director Ben Mankin told Murfreesboro Police that the Veterans Monument in front of the Rutherford County Courthouse was damaged. The police report was labeled as a "Vandalism" offense. Mankin noted that the damage was noticed after observing a group of skateboarders. Mankin also said that American Flags have been stolen off the flag poles near the Veterans Monument in recent weeks.

At this point, no suspects have been named.
