Emily Hodges Ladd, age 77 of Murfreesboro died Monday July 6, 2026. She was a
Nelda J. Lee Turner and A.B. Turner.
Mrs. Ladd had attended the Methodist Church and was retired from Lowes in
Murfreesboro. Everyone who knew her loved her. She had a kind and generous
heart, a wonderful sense of humor, and a way of making everyone feel welcome.
Her laughter was contagious, and she could always bring a smile to those around
her. She will be remembered not only for the goodness she showed others, but also
for the joy and laughter she brought into the lives of all who knew her.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and cherished
friend whose kindness, strength, and unwavering love touched countless lives.
She found great joy in caring for those she loved and created a lifetime of treasured
memories with her family. Her gentle spirit, warm heart, and selfless nature will be
deeply missed, but her love, laughter, and the countless lives she touched will be
remembered forever.
She is survived by her daughter, Kelly Hodges; grandchildren, Joseph Cainan
Brandon and wife Hannah, Cameron Brandon; great-grandson, Rowan Brandon;
twin brother, Steven Hodges.
A private family service will be held at a later date. Woodfin Memorial Chapel is
