MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WGNS) - The brand-new campus for Poplar Hill Middle School marked a major milestone on Wednesday as the school team officially moved into the building. Teachers and staff spent the day unpacking supplies and preparing the facility for the upcoming school year.

Rutherford County Schools will officially open the doors to the campus this August. The addition of the campus marks the 53rd school for the growing Rutherford County Schools system.

Local residents and families will get their first look inside the campus very soon. Rutherford County Schools will host a public ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house at the school on July 26 at 2 p.m.
