COFFEE COUNTY, Tenn. (WGNS News) - The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying a pickup truck and the person or persons associated with it following the theft of a trailer along Woodbury Highway (Scroll down for more photos). 

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the theft occurred at approximately 7 a.m. on Sunday, August 9, 2026. Investigators say the white pickup truck pictured in surveillance images was used during the theft of the black trailer that can also be seen in the photographs.

The images released by investigators show what appears to be a white, four-door pickup pulling a large black dual-axle dump-style trailer. Authorities are hoping someone may recognize the truck, the trailer, or individuals known to regularly use the pickup.

The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office said investigators had already been working on the case behind the scenes, but information and images connected to the investigation had begun circulating on social media. As a result, the department released a direct contact for anyone who may have information that could assist investigators.

Authorities are asking anyone who recognizes the truck, knows who frequently drives or uses it, has information concerning the stolen trailer, or has other potentially useful information to contact Coffee County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Cody Koon at 931-800-8897 or by email at ckoon@coffeecountytn.gov.

Coffee County is located southeast of Rutherford County and the Murfreesboro area, making the BOLO potentially relevant to motorists and residents traveling between the two Middle Tennessee counties. Woodbury Highway also provides a regional connection in the direction of neighboring Cannon County and Rutherford County.

Investigators have not publicly identified a suspect, and the release of the photographs should not be interpreted as evidence that any particular individual committed the theft. Authorities are seeking information that could help identify those involved and further the investigation.

Anyone who may have surveillance or security-camera footage from the Woodbury Highway area around the time of the Sunday morning theft may also have information useful to investigators.
