MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Pickleball players will have an opportunity to serve, volley and support local education when the City Schools Foundation hosts its 3rd Annual Serve It Up Doubles Pickleball Tournament this fall. The two-day fundraiser is scheduled for October 23 and 24, 2026, at the outdoor pickleball courts at Adams Tennis Complex in Murfreesboro. Proceeds will benefit students and teachers with Murfreesboro City Schools.

The tournament is designed to accommodate both casual players and those looking for a little more competition. Casual Mixed Doubles will begin Friday, October 23, at 6 p.m. On Saturday, October 24, Competitive Doubles, Casual Men's Doubles and Casual Women's Doubles will be held from 9 a.m. until noon. The competitive division allows any combination of doubles partners.

Registration is now open through Scoreholio at a cost of $30 per person. Players will also be able to use Scoreholio for tournament updates, brackets and event tracking. All matches are scheduled to take place at Adams Tennis Complex, located at 925 Golf Lane in Murfreesboro. Organizers have also secured indoor backup locations in case Mother Nature decides to serve up something other than sunshine.

The Serve It Up Pickleball Tournament is one of two major annual fundraising events organized by the City Schools Foundation. Money raised helps support initiatives aimed at enhancing educational opportunities for Murfreesboro City Schools students and teachers. Those who would rather support the cause without picking up a paddle can participate through sponsorships ranging from $250 to $2,000.

"We are excited to bring the community together once again for a weekend of fun, friendly competition and support for our schools," said Eric Newell, Chairman of The City Schools Foundation. "Every participant and sponsor helps make a difference for Murfreesboro City Schools students and educators."
