MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WGNS) - The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) invites community members to gather this Friday (September 11th) for the 25th Anniversary 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony.

The public gathering will take place from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the 9/11 Memorial Garden, located at 940 New Salem Highway in Murfreesboro.

Sheriff Kenneth Barrett, RCSO deputies and local leaders organized the ceremony to honor the lives lost during the 2001 tragedy, pay tribute to first responders who answered the call, and reflect on the national unity that followed. Community members throughout Rutherford County are encouraged to attend to remember and pay their respects.
