MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department (MFRD) has announced the recent promotions of Brandon McCullough, Kelson Mulcahy, Christopher Spencer, and Luke Zimmerman.

McCullough was promoted to Captain. He joined MFRD on Oct. 5, 2015, and has served the department for nearly 11 years.

Mulcahy was promoted from Engineer to Safety Officer. He joined MFRD on July 8, 2019, and has served the department for seven years.

Spencer was promoted from Firefighter to Engineer. He joined MFRD on July 17, 2020, and has served the department for six years.

Zimmerman was promoted to Engineer. He joined MFRD on Feb. 1, 2021, and has served the department for five years.

“These four individuals have worked hard to prepare for their new responsibilities,” Fire Chief Mark McCluskey said. “Their promotions are well deserved, and I look forward to seeing them continue to grow and contribute to MFRD.”
