The Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation Department got some special recognition at the July 11^th meeting of the Murfreesboro City Council, where Mayor Bragg issued a proclamation making July 2013 Parks and Recreation Month in Murfreesboro, a  measure approved by the U.S. House of Representatives.  Finally, the budget for Evergreen Cemetery was approved for the upcoming fiscal year, and a public hearing was scheduled to consider an Annexation Progress Report for an area located north of Franklin Road and east of Veterans Parkway.  That hearing was scheduled for August 8^th.
