MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WGNS) - Rutherford County Area Habitat for Humanity will hold its 11th Annual "Build It Forward" Panel Build on Saturday (September 26th). The event runs from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce, located at 3050 Medical Center Parkway in Murfreesboro.

Volunteers will work throughout the day to construct the physical wall panels that will become part of Habitat's 216th home built in Rutherford County. The home is being constructed for a local resident and her family.

The build is sponsored by Huffaker & Hoke Realty Partners, Middle Tennessee Electric, and First Mortgage. Crews of volunteers staffing the build site will include teams from Huffaker & Hoke Realty Partners, First Mortgage, SIMS Lifecycle Services, and Southern Luxury Mobilized Restrooms.

Ann Hoke of Huffaker & Hoke Realty Partners noted that the partnership allows community members to put Habitat's mission into direct action by working alongside local families to build stability and homeownership.

Rutherford County Area Habitat for Humanity has operated in the community for more than 30 years. The non-profit relies on local financial support, volunteer labor, donated materials, and community partnerships to build affordable housing across Rutherford County.
