A Nashville man is charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct after an incident in the area of University and Reid Avenue. Twenty-five year old Calvin Potter faces the charges after Murfreesboro Police received calls he was allegedly yelling obscenities in the street just before 4pm Thursday. Authorities report he had slurred speech, smelled of alcohol and was unsteady on his feet. He was taken into custody and booked into the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center. He'll be in General Sessions Court on August 8th to answer to the charges against him.
