Lowe outlines the department's free smoke and carbon monoxide detector installation programs, common residential fire hazards like unattended cooking, and the integration of digital inspection tools and drone technology into departmental workflows. The conversation places special emphasis on the national fire safety initiative "Charging into Fire Safety," highlighting the growing fire hazards associated with lithium-ion battery chargers used for consumer electronics, transportation devices, and lawn equipment inside homes and garages.
An open house will take place at Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue Station #11 on Blaze Drive next to Blackman High School.
