MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WGNS) - Rutherford County Administrator of Elections Alan Farley is encouraging local voters to plan ahead before casting their ballots for the upcoming November 3rd election.
This year's ballot features three proposed constitutional amendments, making it longer than what voters typically see. Farley noted that spending a few minutes reviewing the amendments before heading to the polls will help voters make informed choices and keep lines moving smoothly.
The push aligns with Tennessee's statewide "Know Before You Go Vote" campaign. State and local election officials are urging residents to read the proposed amendments prior to visiting early voting sites or election day polling places.
"Being an informed voter starts before you arrive at the polling place," said Tennessee Secretary of State Tre Hargett. Hargett added that taking time to review the language in advance helps voters make thoughtful decisions and ensures a smoother experience for everyone.
Voters can access the complete text of the constitutional amendments along with general election details at GoVoteTN.gov. Media inquiries regarding the announcement can be directed to Alan Farley, Administrator of Elections for the Rutherford County Election Commission.
