MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WGNS) - Rutherford County Sheriff's Office (RCSO) deputies received an unexpected delivery this week when Buc-ee's brought its first official "brisket on the board" straight to the agency's headquarters.

The Buc-ee's Director of BBQ personally stopped by to deliver hot, freshly carved brisket sandwiches to the RCSO team. Store officials confirmed to Deputies that the agency is the very first group to sample brisket prepared at the upcoming Murfreesboro location.

The surprise meal comes as excitement builds throughout Rutherford County for the mega travel center's official launch, scheduled for Monday, November 16th. 

RCSO personnel reported that the hot sandwiches were an immediate hit with the entire department, thanking Buc-ee's leadership for thinking of local law enforcement and providing Middle Tennessee deputies with a preview of what is coming to Rutherford County next month.
