The Fifth Annual Try Boro Kids Triathlon has sold out for the fifth year in a row. On August 24, two hundred twenty-five kids ranging in age from 7 to 14 years old will swim, bike, and run at Sports*Com. This year the event sold out four weeks earlier than any previous year. The Try Boro Kids Race Series offers unique endurance events that promote family- oriented ways to get active. Besides the triathlon in August, events include a 2.5K/5K run in May, a two-mile trail run in October, and the Try Boro 100% Challenge, a program that promotes physical activity on a daily basis. The 100% Challenge program has been adopted by Murfreesboro City Schools.

On October 19, the Try Boro Kids Race Series will host a trail run at Barfield Park in Murfreesboro. The cost is $15 per child and $5 per parent. Each child will be timed and will receive a unique award, shirt, and a free pancake breakfast.
