The FAKE Money Continues to FLOW in Murfreesboro

Jul 25, 2013 at 07:00 pm by Bryan Barrett

Counterfeit money has turned up at three local businesses so far in the past five days. Now, money is changing hands thanks to ads on CraigsList.

A Dowelltown man met with a subject in Murfreesboro to sell his cell phone for $400. The Murfreesboro subject paid the Dowelltown man with FAKE $20 bills. When the victim realized they were counterfeit, he headed to the Murfreesboro Police Department where he filed a report for theft.

No word on what the culprits name was, but he was seen driving a blue Ford Expedition. At this point, an arrest has not been made.
