When "Best" is really "Worst"

Aug 06, 2013 at 06:58 am by Bryan Barrett

Sometimes "highest ranking" is "not best"! A Wall Street report just released shows a Tennessee city listed in the undesired "most" category.

The top five "most dangerous cities" includes Memphis as number five. The four more dangerous include Flint, Michigan in the number one position, and it's population is smaller than Murfreesboro. The second place goes to now bankrupt Detroit. Woops, Michigan garnered the two worst places. Then third was Oakland, California with St. Louis coming in fourth--and followed by Memphis.

Cities with the "most abandoned homes" showed Indianapolis in the unenviable top place. Number two was Jacksonville, Florida. St. Louis was third and Birmingham swooped-in fourth. Wichita, Kansas took number five.

Another eye-opener are the ten brands that are expected to disappear in 2014: J.C. Penny, Nook, Martha Stewart Living Magazine, the daily deal website LivingSocial, Volvo, Olympus cameras, WNBA, Leap Wireless, Mitsubishi Motors, and Road and Track magazine.
