The local members of the Middle Tennessee Association of REALTORS (MTAR) are busy getting ready for the 8th Annual MTAR Charity Golf Scramble. This year’s event will be held on Thursday, September 26th at WillowBrook Golf Club. Lunch will be served at 11:30am with a 1:00pm shotgun start.
Each year a Coffee County charity is chosen to receive funds from the event in addition to the MTAR Scholarship Fund. This year’s charity is 5 Loaves 4 Kids, a 501(c)3 organization in Tullahoma. 5 Loaves 4 Kids provides critical need school children with individually packaged, single serving food for the weekend. These are children whose only meals for the day may be the ones they receive at school. 5 Loaves 4 Kids provides this service for approximately 250-260 elementary through middle school children every Friday during the school year. You can visit their website at www.5loaves4kidscharity.com.
The MTAR Scholarship Fund was created to provide financial assistance to deserving students in “our” hometowns. The Middle Tennessee Association of REALTORS® accepts applications each spring from high school seniors planning to attend an accredited 2-year or 4-year college or university which is physically located within the MTAR 8-county area. The students must also live within the 8-county area. The selected students are awarded up to $1000 for expenses during their freshman year in college. For more information about MTAR scholarships, call the MTAR office toll-free at 877/893-2242.
The 8th Annual MTAR Charity Golf Scramble will be a great day of golf and fun to help out two great causes. There will be terrific prizes for flights, skill shots and putting, and some very exciting hole-in-one prizes! Registration is $300 for a team of 4 or $75 for individuals. There are also some great sponsorship opportunities still available for all budgets.
