There was a rollover accident on I-24 in Rutherford County Friday afternoon. Amazingly, the driver was able to free herself from the car and was not seriously injured. She was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the wreck.

The front seat passenger, who was not wearing a safety belt, ended up in the backseat. Reports indicate he was injured in the wreck and was transported to the hospital. The extent of his injuries was not released, but he was alert and fully conscious when paramedics arrived.
