Family of Smyrna Teen Who Drown Need Help with Funeral Expenses

The family of Smyrna High senior Matthew Grissom, who drowned Labor Day at Walter Hill Dam, needs help paying for funeral expenses. C.J. Jatala (juh-TAL-ah), the brother of Matthew's mother, Loretta, tells WGNS news they need the community's help...

Again, you can donate to the funeral expenses for Grissom at any FSNB location, which are inside Wal-Mart stores in Rutherford County. For those wishing to donate, the account name is set up as Thomas Coates-Jatala 94.

Jatala says Matthew, who was a good swimmer, got a leg cramp while swimming with friends and went under in water about 20-feet deep...

Visitation for Matthew Grissom will be held from 4-8pm Friday and from 11am until the funeral services at 1pm Saturday at Rutherford County Baptist Church in Smyrna on Seminary Road.
