A Ford Explorer wrecked and overturned on NW Broad Street in front of Chuy’s Restaurant. Reports indicate the accident occurred around 2:15, Wednesday afternoon. In fact, the SUV actually overturned in the back of the Chuy's parking lot. Preliminary reports indicate the accident may be related to a hit and run collision that occurred minutes before the SUV overturned at Chuy’s.

MPD Sgt. Kyle Evans told us the vehicle was suspected to have been involved in a minor hit and run accident on Old Fort Parkway 15-minutes prior to the wreck at Chuy's. The driver allegedly fled the scene of the Old Fort Parkway wreck and later lost control and crashed on NW Broad, with the vehicle coming to a rest upside down in the restaurant parking lot. The driver suffered a non life threatening head injury and is being cared for at Vanderbilt Medical Center.
