City Construction Projects
Joe B Jackson Pkwy Construction Project (I-24 and S Church Street)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm: Storm drain,underground utilities and Bridge construction work continues on Joe B Jackson Pkwy on the east side (Stevens Bend Subdivision) between County Farm Road and Butler Drive/Elam Road. Atmos Energy will be installing gas lines from County Farm Road east through the Stevens Bend Subdivision. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
Murfreesboro Water & Sewer Department Projects (Woodland Street, N Maple Street between W Lytle St and W College St)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm: The contractor for the Water and Sewer Department will be installing water lines on Woodland St. On Monday, September 23, the contractor will be performing sewer rehabilitation work on N Maple St between W Lytle St and W College St. There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
United Telephone Overhead Utility Relocation Project (NW Broad St at Ridgely Rd, Memorial Blvd at Ridgely Rd, Ridgely Rd, St Clair St, Walnut Dr and Burton Drive)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday: 9:00 am to 3:00 pm: The contractor for United Telephone will be doing overhead utility relocation work on Ridgely Rd, St Clair St, Walnut Dr and Burton Dr. There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
S Church Street Sidewalk Repair/Upgrade Project
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm: Incidental sidewalk repair work continuous along S Church Street between I-24 and NW Broad Street. Work entails removing and replacing existing damaged concrete sidewalk. There will be minor lane closures and traffic interruptions on S Church Street. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
Overall Creek Elementary School Roadway Project (Veterans Pkwy at Mooreland Lane)
Expected Road Closures: September 3rd 2013 through June 21st 2014: Mooreland Lane at Veterans Pkwy closed in preparation for the new roadway construction and utility work. All traffic to and from Veterans Pkwy and Mooreland Lane will be detoured through State Route 96 and Rucker Lane. Proper traffic controls will be in place.
The Pointe at Eastdale Development (Bradyville Pike near S Rutherford Blvd)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday: 8:30 am to 2:30 pm: The contractor for a private development will be constructing turn lanes at the new entrance driveway on Bradyville Pike near S Rutherford Blvd. There will be lane closures and traffic interruptions. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
Windstream Communications Fiber Relocation Project (E Lytle Street between N Church St and University St, University St, Reid Ave and Ash St)
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm: The contractor for Windstream Communications will be installing underground conduit on E Lytle between Highland Ave and Academy St. Overhead fiber installation work will be on E Lytle St, University St, Reid Ave and Ash St. There will be traffic interruptions and minor lane closures. Appropriate traffic controls will be in place.
Annual City Street Paving Project
Expected Lane Closures: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM: City milling, paving, striping and casting crews will be working on the following streets and subdivisions: Expect lane shifts and traffic interruptions during these operations.
