A Georgia woman died in a bizarre car accident on I-24 in LaVergne on Monday. The drive shaft from a 2008 Dodge pickup truck came off the vehicle, hit the car behind him and then flew into the windshield of a car being driven by a Georgia couple.

77-year-old Anne Hudson, of Georgia died after being hit by the driveshaft that went through the windshield of the passenger side of the car her husband was driving. Anne’s husband Leroy Hudson, 77, survived the accident.

The THP reports the driver of the Dodge Ram faces a charge of driving without insurance.
