The trash in Walter Hill continues to pile up at the Middle Point Landfill.  The life expectancy of the landfill is coming to an end and that end could be sooner than expected if Rutherford County hits a projected population of over 500,000 residents by year 2035.

A change in the way of thinking in how we dispose of household waste will have to be conquered, even if we don't hit that 500,000 population count. Rutherford County Mayor Ernest Burgess stated...
