TN Titans Owner Bud Adams has died. He was 90 when he passed away. He died 72 hours after former Oilers coach Bum Phillips died. If you were at the game on Sunday you will recall that Phillips death was remembered prior to the start of the game against the 49ers and everyone in attendance stood in silence for one minute to remember Phillips.
The just confirmed death of Bud Adams will be highlighted during the next game, but will also be highlighted throughout the week in Middle Tennessee. Adams bought the Houston Oilers in 1960 and has owned the team ever since. Adams followed the team to Tennessee in the mid to late 1990’s where the name “Oilers” continued as they played in Memphis. Shortly after the team moved to Nashville and changed their name to the Titan’s, Adams continued his support and was one of the oldest NFL team owners in the country when he passed away.
