The man accused of murdering his wife on Valentine's Day in the Blackman Community earlier this year will be in court on Monday, but not because of the homicide. You may recall that on the morning of Carla Pearman's death, her husband Jacob was scheduled to appear in court on a child abuse and neglect charge. That court date was obviously rescheduled.
On Monday (Nov. 18, 2013), Jacob Pearman will be arraigned on charges of "Child Abuse and Neglect" and "Aggravated Assault." The case is not related to the murder of his wife. The murder case will head to trial in March of 2014.
Looking Back:
30-Year old Jacob Pearman allegedly killed his wife Carla and later turned himself in after a phone call with Murfreesboro Detectives. Pearman was arrested outside of a gas station in Manchester several hours after the murder.
Pearman is being held in the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center at this time.
