“I’m proud to support Howard’s campaign to become the next Chancery Court Judge for District 16 in Rutherford and Cannon counties,” Jones said. “Howard started his own practice 24 years ago, and his work ethic and dedication to the law and our community are exactly what our county needs.”

A real estate innovator both locally and nationally, Jones has consistently ranked among the top 1% of agents in the nation and has been recognized byThe Wall Street Journal as the number one agent in Tennessee.

“John is a highly respected business owner in Rutherford County and has been a great friend for many years. My campaign is very proud to have John join us as our campaign manager because he is a hard worker, trustworthy and provides invaluable insight on our community,” Wilson said.

Wilson, a lifelong Tennessee resident, has been a licensed attorney for more than two decades in Murfreesboro. He has represented more than 4,000 cases, encompassing criminal and civil matters, bankruptcy, workers’ compensation, personal injury, construction law and divorce. Wilson has argued before the state appellate court, including the Tennessee Supreme Court Worker’s Compensation Panel.

Wilson also presided as an Administrative Law Judge for the Tennessee Department of Special Education for 15 years, as well as serving as special judge for the General Sessions Court and Murfreesboro Municipal Court.

Wilson and Jones share a dedication to community service. Wilson is proud to have provided free legal service to individuals and advice to local non-profit agencies, including preparing contracts for a playground to be built in an under privileged neighborhood for the United Way of Rutherford and Cannon County. Wilson and his wife, Susan, are proud supporters of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee and have mentored a child for six years. Jones serves on the board of the Murfreesboro Housing Authority and as treasurer for the Oakland Endzone Club.

A member of the Rutherford County Republican Party, Wilson served on the GOP Executive Committee as Parliamentarian and currently serves on the Issues and Government Relations Committee.
