We are on Day 5 of Electric Scams in Rutherford County. Another local business was contacted by unknown persons over the phone and told the electricity at their business was about to be cut-off. The victim thought the situation was real and gave the criminals her check card number. The subjects would not accept that and insisted she get a money order or a Green Pak card and call them back with the account information. Luckily, she refused and called the police.
